After the five day seize, Tandang Sora has again returned to a semblance of “normalcy.” The following pictures were taken at approximately 4:00 PM Manila Time, July 24, 2016. However, a fire truck and a Net 25 van continues to be stationed nearby.

Finally, in the presence of media GMA-7 and ABS-CBN; food, medicine, and other basic necessities are delivered to Ka Erdy’s family and grandchildren. Since July 20 when tension broke loose and the wall to 36 Tandang Sora were forcibly torn down by a back-hoe, all form of basic human needs were either prevented or confiscated by incoming heavily-armed men in masks. The family reportedly retreated and holed themselves in a room at the second floor of the house. The armed-men continued to surround the premises inside the compound.
All supporters of Ka Erdy’s family continued their vigil outside the gates and never withdrew their foothold the strain reaching its fifth day until finally all basic supplies were allowed inside the premises. The supporters while waiting sang “Ako’y iglesia Ni Cristo” and offered prayers for help from our almighty God.
