s the year comes to an end, our thoughts and hope for a better future continue. Our love for family perseveres and so does our love for the Church. As both sides stand in opposite corners, the faith is strong that dissension shall soon cease to exist. Such is the law of God. Such is the wisdom of Christ. Conflict among his children has no place in God’s kingdom.
Read the book… has so clearly explained this in his message. I couldn’t have said it better.
Hello bro. Smith and brethren,
Happy new year soon. We thank our lord God and our lord Jesus because they have carried us through ups and downs in life this year again. Our thankfulness to our Creator is everlasting because God’s love is everlasting. In our own individual families, one of the most important grace of God is PEACE. To have our family whole and happy/content. In sickness or health, in richness or poverty. Against all odds, we learn to overcome them like what Jesus said ” I overcame the world.” Learning to understand one another, forgiving one another, caring for each of the family members, loving one another, pointing mistakes and correcting them, and modeling good will, faith, and trust to God and Jesus. Thank you lord for giving us wisdom to NOT HATE each other but to keep PEACE in our homes. PEACE requires love, humility, self-control, good communication and more.
Galatians 5:22 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, PEACE, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness”
Of course, another center of our lives is the church. This year is a dark year for members of the church of Christ. However, the church announced victory in the worship service or somewhere else. The church administration reminded us of how many buildings were built, how many times we broke the Guiness world record, how many times we won in the legal court, many new ministerial students and all other positive things about church. I understand why we say the positive accomplishments. For those who know what is going on, we know we LACK PEACE in the church. How pity it is that church bragged winning in court battle when no one actually wins. How we chase the Guiness world of record for a fireworks and waste monetary offerings. How ministers and members are rejoicing about members who were expelled and they are happy oppressing them by throwing them out of their shelters. In our loving Jesus world, these are not positive acts and definitely not a victory in the sight of God and Jesus.
Matthew 5:8 “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. 9 “Blessed are the PEACEMAKERS, for they shall be called children of God. 10 “Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven”
If we can bring peace in the church, then other good things will follow, it is just the way it is. The REAL VICTORY is for the children of God to live in love, unity, and peace. We expected the church leaders to advocate that but sadly… it is not available from them. It is broken. Until PEACE is restored, the church called “victory” is worldly and shallow.
Collossians 3:15 “Let the PEACE of CHRIST rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to PEACE. And be thankful.”
Proverbs 16:7 “When the LORD takes pleasure in anyone’s way, he causes their enemies to make PEACE with them.”
John 14:27 Jesus says “PEACE I leave with you; my PEACE I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
