There are two things I want to get off my chest.  One, the issue on the jet planes of the Administration and two, the audio expose’ of  AE.

First,  all things considered, I am inclined to believe that we did at one time own the alleged planes appearing all over social media.  This is based on  the sermon of EVM during the homily where he cites the necessity of a plane to get him abroad declaring at one point in the recording, not just “a plane” but “our plane.” Not only that.  Some suspicion arises when we wonder why it is only now that the Administration denies ever having owned a plane.  During that sermon, EVM should have immediately closed the issue of the planes if we did not own any by just stating the fact that we do not own any planes and that travels overseas  were conducted on commercial flights. Period. End of discussion.  vincent5But no, he had to rationalize the use of the planes and further explained  that he actually despised flying for fear of the “polar vortex” (extreme cold phenomenon sitting in the polar regions) and excess heat in other areas that necessitated his pastoral visits.  He explains that his group had to endure all discomfort and danger just so he could give comfort to all the brethren around the world.  Well, sorry to disappoint you dear EVM but your narrative  is filled with inconsistencies.  Knowing beforehand that  you had to face danger and discomfort in your flights, why bring along the whole entourage including your wife and family? Wouldn’t it be a logical presumption that you would leave behind your loved ones for the sake of their safety?  And another thing, advise the wives of your entourage to avoid displaying their Louis Vuitton handbags during their trips abroad if you seek empathy from your proclaimed hard-working brethren.

The second issue – AE’s audio recording of one “general”.  Definitely, the allegations mentioned are true.  Why do I believe it? Do I know who this “general” is? No, I don’t.  Do I have first-hand knowledge of the allegations? No, I don’t.  So why do I believe it?  Because I have been in this Church “business” for almost 50 years.  Even during Ka Erdy’s time, the problem of taking bribes for political favors by our ministers were discreetly common. The only difference is during Ka Erdy’s time, it was generally tolerable. We were witness to suspension, reshuffling, and even expulsion of ministers during and immediately after the elections. Ka Erdy tried his best to maintain control of the human frailties of his ministers including ordinary brethren who would take advantage of the block-voting element of the Church during election fever.

453656108_291The recording only confirms what is common knowledge among the ministers and the head officers of any locale. For example, Rudy de Vera. He was suspended countless times for giving political favors to politicians. If I’m not mistaken, he is (or should I say was) the richest minister among his class.  Just check out his life style. But the others from EVM, Radel Cortez, Bien Santiago, Erdz Codera, Rolly Esguerra; they’re just neophytes reeking and drowning in their new found riches and power.

However, to enter the recording as evidence in a court of law is another thing. First, before it can even be admitted as evidence, it has to be approved by both parties to be accepted as such.  Otherwise, it’s just a novelty piece. Furthermore,  the recordings are just voices without accompanying documents to authenticate it (origin of the voices, date and time recorded, etc.).  So, we the reading public are left on our own to consider it for what it’s worth. And one more thing.  I see no point in posting pictures of personalities on Facebook indicating that he received such and such an amount for endorsing this or that candidate based on that recording alone.  It’s plainly immature and doesn’t speak well for any of us.

A last piece of advice for EVM and his council.  Here’s a reported excerpt from the life of Steve Jobs (Founder of Apple, and CEO of Pixar):

Steve jobs’ Last Words (Died of pancreatic cancer). (Though many consider this just to be a hoax, the message imparted is worth the read.)

12227170_523083247860986_9113548625086847539_n“I reached the pinnacle of success in the business world. In others’ eyes, my life is an epitome of success. However, aside from work, I have little joy. In the end, wealth is only a fact of life that I am accustomed to. At this moment, lying on the sick bed and recalling my whole life, I realize that all the recognition and wealth that I took so much pride in, have paled and become meaningless in the face of impending death.

In the darkness, I look at the green lights from the life supporting machines and hear the humming mechanical sounds, I can feel the breath of god of death drawing closer…

Now I know, when we have accumulated sufficient wealth to last our lifetime, we should pursue other matters that are unrelated to wealth… Should be something that is more important: Perhaps relationships, perhaps art, perhaps a dream from younger days … Non-stop pursuing of wealth will only turn a person into a twisted being, just like me.

God gave us the senses to let us feel the love in everyone’s heart, not the illusions brought about by wealth. The wealth I have won in my life I cannot bring with me. What I can bring is only the memories precipitated by love. That’s the true riches which will follow you, accompany you, giving you strength and light to go on.

Love can travel a thousand miles. Life has no limit. Go where you want to go. Reach the height you want to reach. It is all in your heart and in your hands. What is the most expensive bed in the world? – “Sick bed” …

You can employ someone to drive the car for you, make money for you but you cannot have someone to bear the sickness for you. Material things lost can be found. But there is one thing that can never be found when it is lost – “Life”.

When a person goes into the operating room, he will realize that there is one book that he has yet to finish reading – “Book of Healthy Life”.
Whichever stage in life we are at right now, with time, we will face the day when the curtain comes down. Treasure Love for your family, love for your spouse, love for your friends…Treat yourself well. Cherish others.”

Goof’s calling out for a walk.  She enjoys the bright flickering lights in the neighborhood.  Katy follows behind.  Happy holidays dearest brethren and friends! 🙂
