truth

Here’s an article from one ReadinbiblebookofMatthew – a wise read for all of us.

Brethren,

We have to admit there are three divisions in the church right now. Isn’t it a sad thing? We have proclaimed to the world that one of our uniqueness is our unity. Where it is now? I know I do not belong to either restore the church side nor church administration but someone from church administration side website declared there is no neutral ground. It is you are with us or you are with the enemy.

Hosea-Ballou-Quote-Hatred-is-self-punishementIt sounds like familiar slogan during Bush administration, the war started and the only remnants are destruction and unstable government in Iraq since 2003. You know what UK former president Tony Blair admitted on his personal interview. “We had wrong intelligence” meaning they were misinformed. It sounds similar to what is going in our church today. The difference is we are a church organization, not a government. I read both sides’ Facebook accounts, some blogs, and the news.

Last week I posted a comment to one of the church’s Facebook. I commented ”why share a post when it is going to spread judgment and hate. If you consider Menorca your enemy “Jesus says love your enemy at least by doing no harm (not exact words but same content)” Most comments I read are now deleted including mine. Few comments I got back were “She must be a born again Christian (so funny, I guess born again Christians know Jesus’ teachings than us).

Maybe that is the truth. Many brethren do not read the bible and I do not remember having this as a lesson in the worship service. Brethren, read Matthew verse 5:43-48 43…“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”

22d5bf30a7c8c448ec3a1e0c7a00da6fThe other comment I got back was “the devil is our enemy, do you mean you love the devil?” I assure you I do not love the devil. Jesus had a face to face battle with the devil himself. Jesus used God’s words to fight the devil in spite of extreme physical stress, hunger, and thirst. He did not give in to the devil because the moment Jesus fight with evil words or deeds, the devil wins. That is what the devil wants.

This other comment I also got back was horrendous, he said “David the chosen leader of God ordered to kill the enemies.” Bless his heart. Is David the head of our Church now? Our head is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ did not show examples of killing detractors. He even knew he will be killed but did not use his power to harm people who planned to kill him. Praise God for He gave us our savior Jesus Christ and praise Jesus also for his examples. I implore the Church of Administration, the Restore the church side, and all brethren to show the world that we truly follow the head of the Church, our lord Jesus Christ.

I also noticed our brethren (led by mostly ministers) have extreme devotions given to Church administration. I noticed it before with Ka Erdy but not as much as church members do extremely nowadays. I am not against to love our brethren because Jesus says that but the magnitude of these acts are unsavory to me. God and Jesus will speak for themselves. My question is, do you brethren hear in our worship service prayers “God we love you so much or Jesus we love you?” Can you do a banner, T-shirts, etc. declaring your love for God and Jesus? I think that is more appropriate, don’t you think?

As I am writing this to you brethren I am saying “I love you God and Jesus” and cannot help to cry. I hope brethren you say that you love God and Jesus in your personal prayers and most of all let us try to show God and Jesus that we love them by trying to do what is right even in difficult situation like the church is facing right now. It is hard to deny that there have been issues with Ka Erdy’s family that most of us do not know how and when it started.

434839872_640I pray to God that bro. Eduardo will reconcile with his family because he is the prime leader that should model the walk of our lord Jesus. Yes, we should love God first even greater than our immediate family but it does not say do not resolve your issue with them because you love God first. Not to resolve the issue with your family is a heavy burden to carry because it conflicts with Jesus commandment “love one another.” I myself do not feel right if I have misunderstanding with my family. It does not feel right also to lead a small congregation if I cannot reconcile with my family. I feel like a hypocrite.

I do not know you and your family personally bro. Eduardo. For 49 years I have been in the church respecting your family and the administration from afar but I knew for sure who I give my devotion and worship in the church, only God and Jesus Christ. I only want to worship in peace and please while you are still the prime leader, do everything right to unite the church the way Jesus wants you to restore the church. Why there are brethren who feel they have to act on their own and restore the church themselves? Because they do not hear and see transparency from the church administration.

Still so many questionable acts and stories that I have to leave to God as my final decision because I do not know a lot. God knows all the truth and nothing but the truth. If God had not led our family to start a GWS from one state to another far state, we would have left the church. It seems like Jesus left the body and the body operates without a head. I pray and hope that this is not the case. If we continue to be this way, we can be like God’s first nation that is no longer His anymore. Let us all check our intentions and acts. Let start like new by saying good words and doing right actions. Jesus says love one another, our neighbors, even our enemies (Do no harm).

He also says “do unto others what you want to them to do unto you” which is equivalent of “do not do to others what you do not want them to do unto you.” We are Church of Christ, we need to follow these commandments. Human rights advocates will even agree to this and their probably not members of any church. Treats of expulsion and humiliating expelled brethren in the worship services are not a manifestation of love for others as Jesus commanded.

a4f23bf1a7df9c3b632db3417a37dc35This problem will not go away until open dialogue without repercussions are permitted. Have it first with all ministers, then with officers, and brethren. Not to do finger pointing but have the humility to accept what is wrong and how to correct it, for the love of God and Jesus. Haven’t we learned, Demonizing each other on Facebook or any social media is not helping, does not work!!! I assure you God and Jesus are not happy with that!!! Why not change it to better communication? Sooner or later, if we do not act with truthfulness and righteousness, we will pay for it!!!

I hope bro. William Smith, having a lot of readers, you will let this be read by many.
